I had some issues syncing my personal Gmail account to my HTC phone. I attempted many different variations of using @gmail.com and @googlemail.com along with changing username field and e-mail address field to not include either of these suffixes. The main mistake I made was not realizing that you have to turn on IMAP from your Google account or in this gmail settings. I incorrectly assumed because my sister was able to sync her GMail to my phone from earlier that this wasn’t a setting that needed to be adjust.

The past couple months I’ve been taking a lot of freelancer jobs on various freelancer sites such as: ODesk.com, Freelancer.com & Elance.com. Over the course of looking at 100′s of websites for interviewing jobs mainly related to SEO, I found a great majority (95%) had major things that could be changed to increase the probability of driving more traffic to their website through mediums such as Search Engine Optimization & Social Media Marketing.

On Saturday around 2 p.m. we started receiving the first bands of rain from Hurricane Irene. This would mark the second major natural disaster hitting our area in the same week. Is this a sign the apocalypse is closing in on us? This storm seemed to get a lot of publicity but was a lot more bark than bite. I guess this is what happens when a hurricane doesn’t hit US soil for a couple years. It was gusty but no more than a strong rain storm. The rain poured in for many hours between around 2 p.m. Saturday into the early hours of Sunday morning. The power also went out in our neighborhood around 2 a.m. on Sunday and was backup by 6 a.m. the same day.

So, I finally got around to editing the site a bit more. On the cosmetic side, I decided to add the colors to mirror the home page so I changed the header tags to the same blue. I haven’t spent much time editing WordPress templates but I’m continually impressed with how easy it is to do these type of changes especially compared to other similar CMS platform
